Excel: gray screen without admin permissions

If the Delos Excel add-in shows a completely gray screen and you do not have admin permissions on your machine, here are the solutions.

Cause

The Delos Excel add-in requires permissions to run. Without admin rights, some features may be blocked by your company's security policies.

Solutions

  1. Contact your IT department: Ask your IT team to install or authorize the Delos add-in with appropriate permissions
  2. Check Office add-in policies: Your company may block third-party add-ins. Ask IT to allow the Delos add-in in Office policies
  3. Use Delos in your browser: In the meantime, access Delos via your web browser at app.delos.so for the same features
  4. Update Office: Make sure your Excel version is up to date. Older versions may not properly support add-ins

For IT administrators

  • Allow the Delos add-in via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
  • Verify that deployment policies do not exclude third-party add-ins
  • Ensure users have add-in execution permissions
