Whatsapp Unipile
اربط واتساب بالعامل الذكي لديك ليُرسل الرسائل من رقمك الخاص ويردّ على المحادثات التي توكلها إليه.
What the WhatsApp connection enables
Once connected to WhatsApp, your worker can:
- Send WhatsApp messages to your contacts and groups, from your own number
- Reply automatically to incoming messages (optional, with a list of allowed numbers)
- Read conversation history so it answers with the full context
- Send and receive attachments (PDF, images, documents… up to 15 MB)
- React to, edit, delete or forward a message
- Look up your WhatsApp contacts and their details
Requirements
- A phone with an active WhatsApp account — a personal number is enough, no WhatsApp Business account required
- A Unipile key assigned to this worker. Your Delos administrator provides it; you can also enter your own directly in the connection window
- Being a manager of the worker to set up the connection
ℹ️ A WhatsApp number can be linked to a single worker, and each worker has its own key: one worker's conversations are never visible to another.
Step 1 — Open the WhatsApp connection
- In the Worker tab of the Delos sidebar, open the worker's Settings, then the Integrations section
- In the API connectors card, click the WhatsApp — Connect row

The WhatsApp connection window opens.
Step 2 — Get the pairing code
- Enter the WhatsApp number to connect, in international format (for example
+33 6 12 34 56 78) - Click Get a code
- An **8-character code** appears, such as `WDMT-MGQJ`⏱️ The code expires after a few minutes. If it is no longer valid, click New code to generate another one.
Step 3 — Enter the code on the phone
On the phone that owns the number, in the WhatsApp app:
- Open Settings
- Tap Linked devices
- Tap Link a device
- At the bottom of the screen, choose Link with phone number instead
- Enter the code shown in Delos

✅ As soon as the code is accepted, the Delos window switches to WhatsApp is connected. The Unipile WhatsApp connector then appears in the worker's API connectors list: your worker can send messages.
Step 4 — Receive incoming messages (optional)
By default the worker sends messages but does not react to the ones it receives. To let it reply on its own:
- Reopen the WhatsApp row (the button now reads Manage)
- Turn on Receive incoming messages
- Optionally fill in the **Allowed numbers / IDs**, one per line, then click **Save list**💡 If the list is empty, the worker triggers on every sender. Add one or more numbers so it only reacts to those: messages from anyone else are ignored.
Check that it works
- Sending: ask your worker from Delos: "Send a WhatsApp message to Gaspard to confirm tomorrow's 10am meeting"
- Receiving (if step 4 is enabled): send a WhatsApp message to the worker's number from another phone — it replies directly in the conversation
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a WhatsApp Business account? No. A regular personal WhatsApp number is enough. The connection works like WhatsApp Web: Delos simply becomes one more linked device.
Does my phone need to stay switched on? Not permanently, but WhatsApp requires the phone to come online at least once every two weeks or so. After that, WhatsApp logs out all linked devices and you have to pair again.
The pairing code does not work or has expired? Click New code in the Delos window: the previous attempt is discarded and a fresh code is issued. Also make sure you are using the Link with phone number instead option in WhatsApp, not the QR code scan.
Can several workers be connected to the same WhatsApp number? No. A number is linked to a single worker, and a Unipile key can only be assigned to one worker.
Does the worker reply to everyone? Only if you enabled incoming messages. In that case, an empty allow list means "reply to everyone"; add the numbers of your choice to restrict what triggers it.
Can the worker see my past conversations? Like any WhatsApp linked device, it can access the recent history WhatsApp synchronises, plus every message exchanged after the connection. It can re-read a conversation to answer with the right context.
Does it work in groups? Yes. The worker knows whether it was contacted in a group or in a one-to-one chat, and replies in the same conversation.
How do I disconnect WhatsApp? On the phone: Settings → Linked devices, select the Delos device and tap Log out. On the Delos side, you can also delete the Unipile WhatsApp connector from the worker's API connectors card.
What data is accessible? The worker accesses the conversations, contacts and attachments of the connected WhatsApp account — exactly the same scope as WhatsApp Web. It has no access to any other WhatsApp account, and workers from other organizations have no access to yours.
