Slack Worker

تحدّث مع عامل الذكاء الاصطناعي Delos مباشرةً في Slack: عبر الرسائل المباشرة أو @الإشارة أو من المساعد.

What the Slack connection enables

Once connected to Slack, your worker can:

  • Reply in direct messages when you write to it, like a colleague
  • Respond to @mentions in channels where it's been invited
  • Be used from the Slack Assistant (sidebar)
  • Read files you share with it (PDF, Word, Excel, images…) to answer questions about them
  • Post messages and files in your channels

Requirements

  • A Slack account and workspace
  • Depending on your workspace settings, a Slack administrator may need to approve the app installation (Step 2 — Slack lets you send them the request in one click)

Step 1 — Open the Slack connection

  • In the Worker tab in the Delos sidebar, under Profile, at the very bottom, click Connect Slack

You'll be redirected to Slack to authorize the app.

Step 2 — Authorize Delos in Slack

  • On the Slack authorization page, select the workspace to install the worker into (top right)
  • Review the requested permissions, then click Allow
- Slack redirects you back to Delos: the worker is connected and the bot appears in your workspace

ℹ️ If your workspace restricts app installation, Slack will offer to send a request to an administrator. The installation completes automatically once approval is granted — nothing to reload.

Step 3 — Invite the worker to your channels

  • Direct message: open a DM with the Delos bot and message it directly — no extra setup
  • In a channel: invite the bot with /invite @YourWorker, then mention it with @YourWorker to send a request

💡 You can also find it in the Slack Assistant (sidebar) and chat with it directly.

Check that it works

  • In Slack, open a DM with your worker and send it a message — it replies directly
  • Or, from Delos, ask your worker: "Send a Slack message in the #general channel to remind everyone about tomorrow's 10am meeting"

FAQ

Can I connect several workers to the same workspace? In shared mode, only one worker can be active per Slack workspace: connecting a new worker automatically disconnects the previous one (the window warns you).

The app is blocked or can't be found in Slack? Some workspaces restrict app installation. Ask your Slack admin to approve Delos in Workspace settings → Manage apps.

Which channels can the worker post in? It replies in direct messages and in channels where it's been invited (/invite @YourWorker) or mentioned.

Do I need to link my Slack account to Delos? No — it's not required to chat with the worker. You can optionally link your identity with /connectdelos, check status with /statusdelos, and unlink with /disconnectdelos (your Slack email must match a Delos account).

What data can it access? The worker accesses conversations where it's present (DMs with it, channels it's invited to) and the files you share with it. It doesn't read private conversations between colleagues.
