Memory on Delos
What is memory?
Memory is the system that allows Delos to retain information about you, your company, and your preferences to personalize each interaction. Unlike a classic chatbot that forgets everything between conversations, Delos builds lasting knowledge of your professional context.
The three levels of memory
1. User Profile
The user profile contains your personal and professional information:
Basic information:
- First and last name
- Job title
- Email and phone
- Address
- Location
- Birthday
- Professional biography
Communication preferences:
- Response length: short, medium, or long
- Emoji usage: never, sometimes, often
- Custom instructions: specific guidelines on tone, style, priorities
This information allows the AI to adapt its communication style and responses to your profile.
How to update it?
- Ask the AI: "Update my profile with..."
- You can also add and remove elements in memory by clicking on the Memory tab in the sidebar
- The AI will ask for confirmation before any modification
2. Company Profile
The company profile is shared by all users in your organization. It contains:
- Company name
- Industry sector
- Headquarters address
- Website
- Business description
- Tax information
Why is it useful?
The AI understands your professional context, your products, your services, and can adapt its suggestions based on your industry.
Management by administrators:
Administrators can choose to:
- Force the company profile (automatically applied to everyone)
- Suggest the company profile (each user decides whether to activate it)
3. Deep Memory Elements (Remember)
These are personalized notes you create so the AI remembers specific contexts:
Usage examples:
- "My main client is Acme Corp, specialized in logistics"
- "I'm working on the Phoenix project with a deadline of June 30"
- "I use Python and React for my development"
- "My manager prefers reports in Excel format"
Available categories:
- Contacts: information about key people
- Documents: references to important documents
- Preferences: your ways of working
- General: any other useful context
- Knowledge: specific business knowledge
- Workflows: work processes and methods
How to create a memory element?
Simply say: "Remember that..." or "Note that..." and the AI will record the information.
⚠️ Important: The AI only creates memory elements upon your explicit request. It never memorizes information proactively.
Enable or disable memory
You control memory conversation by conversation via the conversation settings:
Memory enabled ✅
- The AI can read your user profile, company profile, and memory elements
- The AI can write new memory elements (upon your request)
- Responses are personalized according to your context
Memory disabled ❌
- The AI does not access any personal information
- Conversations are generic
- Useful for sensitive questions or testing
Memory recall
The AI can proactively search your memory to enrich its responses:
When does the AI recall?
- At the beginning of a conversation on a topic it knows about you
- When you mention a familiar project, client, or context
- To retrieve stored preferences or information
Search by category:
The AI can filter memory by category (contacts, documents, preferences...) to quickly find relevant information.
Memory forget
You can ask the AI to delete a memory element:
"Forget that I'm working on the Phoenix project"
The AI will permanently delete this element. This action is irreversible.
